Title : A case study of software development : thinking out a method to cut down data and time

Abstract :
In this talk, we introduce some case studies of software developments. We consider a case to develop a realtime software with some missing data in the fields of design and manufacturing. We introduce the following cases:
 *  Flexible Wire-Harness parts are quite often used in current Hardware-Systems. However there are few designing tools to simulate moving harness configuration without considering material properties in designing process. In this talk, we introduce a realtime designing method and its demonstration.
 *  We will show one of the robot-system applications in manufacturing field. That is the automatic welding pass creation in in-line process using 3D scanner sensor. Using this technique, we can serve 3D-eye to know welding pass for robot in process.
 *  We are developping another 3D application in medical field without using multiple CT/MRI data. 2D X-ray data generally used in any hospitals can be treated as pseudo-3D data by applying CAD/CAM technique.
