## Intelligent Societal Implementation of Mathematical Computation

The Division of Intelligent Societal Implementation of Mathematical Computation (SIMAC) was established by developing and reorganizing the Laboratory of Advanced Software in Mathematics (LASM). We will promote societal implementations of advanced mathematical theories through large-scale industry-academia collaborations, and play an important role in leading Japan for the construction of an ultra-smart society based on Society 5.0. The specific activities are as follows.

1: Aim at integrating mathematical modeling for solving social issues with the latest computational technology

2: Promote IMI's industry-academia collaboration activities by conducting joint research with many companies

3: Actively accept researchers from companies as co-researchers or postgraduate doctoral students

4: Aim to expand diverse career paths for graduate students by participating in industry-academia collaboration activities
