My research lies at the intersection of matroid theory and algebraic coding theory. I currently study matroid representations over finite rings, q-polymatroids arising from rank-metric codes, and the
construction of optimal codes using ideas from finite geometry. I am also interested in polynomial invariants of codes, such as weight enumerators and Tutte quasi-polynomials, with an eye toward applications to communication and network coding.
