My research field is representation theory of Lie groups, particularly
the branching problem of real reductive groups.
The branching problem studies how irreducible representations of larger groups decompose into irreducible components (or more generally, how representations behave) when restricted to smaller subgroups. For representations of real reductive groups, various invariants can be defined, and I mainly consider how these invariants are connected to their branching laws. I primarily use algebraic methods such as noncommutative ring theory and the theory of algebraic D-modules to study these problems.
