I have been studying on variational problems for (hyper)surfaces for many years. Recently I started research on variational problems for (hyper)surfaces with singular points or singular structures. I am interested in not only purely mathematical research but also applications of mathematical ideas and results to explanations for physical phenomena and to manufacturing.
