Utilization of Mathematical Programming Solver in the Operation Scheduling of Electric Power Supply

Place : IMI Auditorium (W1-D-413) (4F, West Zone 1, Kyushu University)

The speaker made a fast solver that approximates a solution by solving mixed-integer quadratic programming problems iteratively using mathematical programming solver. This method is used for the optimization the operation scheduling of many thermal power generators. With this method, we can solve a very complex optimization problem quickly, even if the problem has a large number of constraints.
