Models of solid tumor growth and therapy
Speaker : Prof. Benoit PERTHAME (Université Pierre et Marie Curie，Full Professor)
Place : Lecture Room M W1-C-515 (5F, West Zone 1, Kyushu University)

The speaker explained the mathematical model based on PDE about the density of tumor cells. In particular, the free boundary model, and the model in which the effect of nutrients and viscosity are considered, are considered in details. Also, the speaker explained that these models are used in biology and medicines, and that the feedback of them to mathematics produces several problems.
