The Asia-Pacific Consortium of Mathematics for Industry (APCMfI), for which organizational meeting was held in April this year, was officially launched and announced its start on Oct. 30th(Thu), in the Forum “Math-for-Industry” 2014 held at Kyushu University. APCMfI is a new framework of the collaborations between research/educational institutes and various industries in Asia-Pacific region. As future plans, the wide variety of international activities including overseas internship, student exchange,  interactive telelectures taking advantage of less time difference in this area, and other research oriented events such as Study Group Workshop and Forum “Math-for-Industry” shall be brought to fulfill the basic idea of “Mathematics for Industry”.
