The IMI Colloquium in May
Applications of Mathematical Science to Suply Chain Optimizations
Speaker:Yoshitaka NAKAO
(Mathematical Science Department, R&D Center, Canon IT Solutions Inc.)
Place:Lecture Room L-1 (3F, IMI, Kyushu University)

At this IMI colloquium Dr. Nakao (Mathematical Science Department, R&D Center, Canon IT Solutions Inc.) had a lecture. He explained the supply chain management which controls stock, delivery, and sale. Then he showed the feature of an actual problem and the needed element. By this we could understand the difficulty in the case of being actually adapted in an optimization problem. At the last part of the lecture he talked about the message to students. So they can have the image of how they can active role in the society. There are many questions and the active argument was made after a lecture.

Attendance: about 30
