He talked about various key points in software development in academia. One of them is advantages of exploiting HPC(high-performance computing). They are explained with evidences indicating efficiencies of HPC. Another is the significance of making developed softwares public because it can promote further developments. The last topic is related to education, especially to young students. His talk was very helpful in software development and education in academia.
