Numerical analysis of “discontinuous” differential equation and it application to seismic structure response evaluation
Speaker：Muneo Hori (Earthquake Research Institute, University of Tokyo)
Place：Lecture Room L-1 (3F, IMI, Kyushu University)

The speaker introduced a discontinuous differential equation to treat
failure phenomena by earthquakes and explained a new discretization
method to conduct numerical analysis for the equation. 18 staffs and 5
students attended.
