Poster Award for Shuhei Shibata, M1 student of JGMI (Forum ”Math-for-Industry” 2024)
2024.11.11
Mr. Shuhei Shibata, M1 (Master, 1st grade) student of Joint Graduate School of Mathematics for Innovation (JGMI) received the Excellent Poster Award at Forum “Math-for-Industry” 2024 (FMfI2024).
Congratulations !
Comment by Shuhei Shibata:
I am very happy to receive such a wonderful award.
The research I presented this time is a type of non-Markov stochastic process called Elephant Random Walk, which determines the next position depending on past, and has been actively studied in recent years.
Among them, I researched and presented on the infinite collision of two ERWs.
As the name suggests, this conference is “for industry,” so it aims to apply ERW to industry.
However, ERW is a stochastic model that has only recently begun to attract attention, so there is not much literature on its industrial application.
I feel that by winning this award, participants have become at least a little interested in my work, and I am very happy.
I will continue to do my best in my research.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my teachers, seniors, administrative staff, and the management team for this conference.
