On September 12, 2024, Institute of Mathematics for Industry, Kyushu University (IMI) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (UTM-CIAM) signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) and a signing ceremony was held at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

IMI and UTM CIAM plan to further deepen their ties and promote student exchange and joint research in the future.
