Report:
The Colloquium consists of 2 parts: the first part covered Vietnam’s policies on mathematics research and education as well as Japan-Vietnam collaboration; the second part introduced mathematical research topics on invariant theory over finite fields.

In the first part, Prof. Le Minh Ha explained that under policies promoting mathematics, Vietnam is prioritizing applied mathematics such as AI, data science, and optimization, and is actively fostering international collaboration and human resource development. Moreover, he expressed for deepening cooperation with Japan through joint research, student exchanges, and workshops.

In the second part, after an introduction to invariants of truncated polynomial algebras, Prof. Le Minh Ha shown the proof extending the Hilbert series conjecture by Lewis–Reiner–Stanton from the general linear group to parabolic subgroups. Moreover, he also explained the relationship with q,t-binomial coefficients through the construction of an explicit basis, and highlighted the importance of the interplay between combinatorics and topology.
