マレーシア工科大学（UTM）と九州大学IMIは、共催で「2nd Malaysia–Japan Symposium on Mathematical and Statistical Modelling 2026」を下記の通り開催いたします。
本シンポジウムは、昨年度に九州大学にて開催された「Malaysia-Japan Symposium on Mathematical and Statistical Modelling」に続く第2回目の開催となり、今回はUTMがあるマレーシア・ジョホールバルにて実施いたします。
本シンポジウムは、JST、Mathematics for Industry Platform（MfIP）をはじめとする関係機関のご支援・ご協力のもと開催いたします。関係者の皆様には、この場を借りて感謝申し上げます。
本シンポジウムでは、数学・統計モデリングに関する最新の研究成果や応用事例について、マレーシアと日本を中心とした研究者・学生による発表や意見交換を行います。

また、マレーシア工科大学が毎年開催している国際会議「International Symposium on Mathematical Informatics (ISMI)」も、IMI共同利用・共同拠点の支援のもと併催されます。
本シンポジウムはハイブリッド方式で開催されるため、現地での参加に加え、オンラインでの参加も可能です。学部学生から研究者まで、多くの皆様のご参加をお待ちしております。

IMI (Kyushu University) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) will jointly host the 2nd Malaysia–Japan Symposium on Mathematical and Statistical Modelling 2026.

This is the second edition of the symposium, following the successful first meeting held at Kyushu University in 2025. The 2026 symposium will be held in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, at Pulai Spring Resort, and will also be offered in a hybrid format, enabling both onsite and online participation.
The symposium aims to promote active exchange of recent developments in mathematical and statistical modelling among researchers and students from Malaysia, Japan, and other countries.
It is organized under the framework of the ongoing collaboration between UTM and IMI, supported by JST (Japan Science and Technology Agency) and the Mathematics for Industry Platform (MfIP). We would like to express our sincere appreciation for their support and cooperation.

In addition, the International Symposium on Mathematical Informatics (ISMI), organized annually by UTM, will be held in conjunction with this symposium, with support from the IMI Joint Usage/Research Center.

We warmly welcome participation from a wide range of researchers and students.
