IMI Advisory Board (Japan)
In January 2025, the Institute of Mathematics for Industry (IMI), Kyushu University, established an Advisory Board to receive advice from industry and local communities from perspectives such as:
・future trends and directions in the economy and society;
・expectations for mathematics and the mathematical sciences in light of these future directions; and
・the future form of industry–academia collaboration.
Through this initiative, IMI aims to further develop as an international research hub and to contribute to realizing its mission of “building a prosperous and sustainable society through the use of mathematics.”
Taking into account the advice provided by the Advisory Board, IMI will continue to refine, promote, and expand its various activities in order to respond to the expectations entrusted to it by society.
