Abstract: We present a zero-knowledge (ZK) proof of plaintext knowledge for the code-based McEliece and Niederreiter public-key encryption schemes. It applies to both their plain and randomized (IND-CPA) versions. Our proof uses Stern's ZK identification scheme.
