Title :
Mathematical modeling of morphological analysis

Abstract : In both research and industrial fields, it is an important procedure to quantify targets' morphological properties. Morphometrics has been developed in interdisciplinary areas among biology, mathematics, statistics, computer vision, etc., and attempted to quantify the targets' morphological data and reveal the properties of the data space. In this talk, I introduce geometric morphometrics and theoretical morphology as examples for mathematical modeling of morphological analysis and phenotyping methods from measurement data such as images.
